Server Suburbia

Hi folks,

I have good news, and some bad news.

First the good news. We've outgrown our third server in 9 months! Growth is good, and we're pretty excited to see our Canadian video sharing community continue to gain more users, uploads and video views.

The bad news is that we actually have to do a full migration to a new server, and this has to happen pretty quickly. Our goal is to have this migration completed by Monday, October 29th. As a result, we are likely to experience some downtime this week as we both prepare for and execute this move. We will certainly do our best to confine any downtime to the wee hours of the night/early morning, but we can't guarantee there won't be some downtime during a weekday this week. You know what they say about the best laid plans :-)

Back to the good news. We are moving to a seriously massive server environment that should give us some substantial room to grow. No pain, no gain, right?

Hang in there, if all goes well, you won't even notice the move. Thanks in advance for being patient if/when you experience a little downtime this week.
